The Dublin Inner City Community Co-operative Society Ltd, are an alliance of 13 community development organisations ensuring the development and delivery of social, economic and cultural services. All 13 groups are partially funded by the national Social Inclusion Community Activation (SICAP) Program as well as a range of other funders and operate in the most disadvantaged areas of the inner city

Access to Apprenticeship

The Access to Apprenticeship Programme is aimed at men and women aged 16-24 living in Dublin who experience social and economic barriers. The 12-week course provides an opportunity to sample a range of apprenticeships in Construction, Engineering, Electrical, Motor and Aviation industries, prepare CVs, interview skills, undertake 2 weeks work experience and complete Health and Safety training.

The Local Employment Service, called Eastside Docklands, provides guidance and access to training education and employment opportunities.

Jobcare Employment Training & Support

Jobcare equips unemployed people with the skills, knowledge and confidence to secure appropriate work. Programmes such as networking, coaching, cv review, mock interviews and employment opportunities are supported by corporates including Matheson.

Trinity College Dublin

Career Leap

Career LEAP is work readiness programme for young people aged 18-25 from marginalised backgrounds. It has been uniquely developed through a partnership approach between Trinity College, East Wall Youth, Swan Youth Service and local businesses in the docklands area including CHQ, Central Bank, A&L Goodbody and more.

St Andrew's Resource Centre

Returning to Work

Each year, we partner with St Andrews Resource Centre to provide six month work placements in the facilities team. These roles are aimed at providing opportunities for people in our local vicinity who have been unable to secure permanent work or out of work. The placements offer people an opportunity to gain work experience, life skills and confidence with joining or returning to the work force.

Construction Skills Course

Construction skills course for those seeking employment. Delivered with a range of partners including Dublin North Inner City Task Force, Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP), Dublin City Council, Dublin Port, CDETB and SISK.

St Andrew's Resource Centre

Job Centre

Provides opportunities for local people to access jobs and training schemes; including career coaching and mentoring. Free service.

Matheson

Law Scholarship

Matheson's Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship is open to second year undergraduate law students in Trinity who are on the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) or the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) schemes; mature students; or students who face barriers in participating in third level education.
